Programme Note

Nix is a small, possibly the smallest, moon of Pluto. It is also the name of the Greek goddess of night (with an alternative spelling to avoid confusion with the asteroid 3908 Nyx).

Nix Falling out of Orbit creates relationships between players, sounds, and textures, which, throughout the piece, fall away from the expected paths.
